| 1997 | March April October | Shimpo Industrial Corporation (Currently Nidec Drive Technology Corporation) acquires a stake in Read Electronics. Nidec Corporation acquires a stake in Read Electronics. Corporate name changed to NIDEC-READ CORPORATION.  |
| 1998 | January | The GATS series of step-and-repeat testing systems for BGAs and MCMs released. |
| 1999 | February November | Representative office in Germany opened in the suburbs of Frankfurt. Nagoya office opened. |
| 2000 | July August | NIDEC-READ TAIWAN CORPORATION (Currently Nidec Advance Technology Taiwan Corporation) established. NIDEC-READ shares listed on the second section of the Osaka Securities Exchange (now Tokyo Securities Exchange). |
| 2002 | March | NIDEC-READ joined 5 other Nidec group companies to establish Nidec System Engineering (Zhejiang) Corporation, in Pinghu, Zhejing Province, China. |
| 2003 | August September | Corporate Headquarters moved to Ukyo-ku, Kyoto. NIDEC-READ acquires a stake in Advance Korea Corporation (Currently Nidec Advance Technology Korea Co., Ltd.). |

| 2005 | July | Fixture manufacturing sector moved to Nidec group production engineering center. |
| 2009 | February April | NIDEC-READ acquires a stake in LuzCom Inc. (Currently Nidec Advance Probe Corporation) NIDEC-READ (ZHEJIANG) CORPORATION (Currently Nidec Advance Technology Zhejiang Corporation) established by spinning off operations from Nidec-system Engineering (Zhejiang) Corporation. |
